Van Dam Shipping is a family business with its knowledge and experience in short sea shipping and inland shipping. Jan van Dam has many years of experience as owner and ship manager of cargo ships, in which Jan has been successful for more than 30 years.

    Our eight modern cargo ships sail mainly in North-West Europe. Six of our vessels are especially adapted for the Saima Canal in Finland. In addition, we take the greatest care to reduce emissions during all our ship movements.

    Van Dam management offers partners a complete package of ship management services. Years of experience with our own shipping company have given us the know-how that we can apply to several parties and their own ships. In addition, we take all the worries out of the ship owner’s hands when it comes to ISM, Technical, Crew Management and ICT.

    We want to be the greenest transport partner for our customers. To this end, we focus on developing new, sustainable technologies within our own fleet and a zero emission focus within all our shipping movements. But we also work on sustainable developments for the shipping industry as a whole. We participate in various projects that deal with sustainability on board ships and we work together with universities on new techniques for more sustainable shipping.
